Lapis Patina Derby Shoes

Sale price$650.00 USD

A bit more casual than the oxford, the derby features an open lacing system, with the quarters sewn on top of the vamp. This limited edition was inspired by anctient Egyptian stones and gems used through out the pharaoh era. Made from high grade crust calf, the leather is hand painted and finished by our artisans with the beautiful turquoise stone patina pattern. A light taupe base with shades of turquoise and navy, masterfully mixed using sponges. The pair features a cognac leather sole, full-calf brown inner lining and black laces. It’s produced using our most famous shoe last, the Zurigo last, which features a round toe for a classic english look.

The Fine Print:

  • Shoe production timeline/shipping can vary from 30-40 days from the date of order.
  • All shoes are handmade, small tiny changes or imperfections are natural.
  • Color differentiation of shoes may vary, product color on screen is not 100% guaranteed, it may vary on how the color shows on your screen from one person to another.
  • Most of the time the color difference from picture to when you receive your product is minor and unnoticeable.

Why this costs what it does

11 days, not 11 hours

Every patina pair is hand-painted and oxidized over 11 days. Six to nine layers of dye, each one soaking in overnight before the next. Skip this and the color sits on the surface — and rubs off in a season.

What's actually inside

Genuine cork filler, not foam — it molds to your foot over the first 50 wears. A stacked leather heel, not injection-molded plastic. Hand-welted construction that can be resoled four or five times instead of thrown out.

Built to last, not to sell once

Most factory shoes are cement-bonded and can't be repaired. Ours are built to be resoled and re-welted for years — the cost reflects a shoe you'll own once, not replace every season.
