Monkstraps, especially the single monk variety, have surged in popularity in recent years due to their unique blend of style and comfort. The single monk is distinguished by a solitary strap that elegantly crosses the upper part of the shoe, meeting an eye-catching buckle that adds an element of sophistication. This particular design not only ensures a snug fit but also contributes to the overall comfort of the footwear. As a result, the single monkstrap, specifically the Huracan Single Monk, has emerged as a must-have accessory for individuals looking to make a subtle yet impactful fashion statement.

Materials: grey painted full grain leather combined with grey painted croco texture for a rich visual appeal.

The Fine Print:

  • The timeline for shoe production and shipping may fluctuate between 15 to 30 days from the date of order placement.
  • Each pair of shoes is handmade, which means small variances or imperfections are inherent and contribute to the uniqueness of each product.
  • It is important to note that color differentiation among shoes may occur; the color displayed on your screen does not guarantee a precise match and may vary based on individual display settings.
  • In most situations, any color difference observed between the photograph and the received product is often slight and not readily noticeable.
  • PREMIUM LEATHER : We work exclusively with the best leather tanneries and importers, ethically sourced and bred. Our leather catalog is high grade 100% calf leather.

ORIGINAL SOLE: Our soles are made in the traditional way, making them with several layers of pressed leather for the standard leather sole and other high quality materials for our other soles. All of our construction methods are universally recognized as the best type of classic methods including Goodyear welt, blake stitched, etc..

    Comparing Shoes

When comparing two different shoes you should know that, despite their external differences, the inner shape is the key element when it comes to fitting.

See below a comparison between two Wholecut shoes as an example, both with the same size (42 EU).

The one on the left is made using the Zurigo Last (rounded toe) and the other one uses the Monti Last (long chisel toe).

    foot measurement

As you can see, the long and narrow toe shape of the Monti last generates a larger blind / unused space at the toe. How much space you have in front of the toe varies depending on the type of shoe and its toe shape.

That is why, even though the shoe on the right is 1 cm longer (total length measured from the heel to the tip of the toe) both shoes are effectively the same size.

Admittedly, there's no point in comparing the fitting of two different shoes only based on their total length.
