Francesco Patina Chelsea Boots II
Some boots are merely worn. The Francesco is inhabited.
Built on the Belgravia last — a silhouette defined by its chisel toe, dramatically narrow waist, and Cuban heel — the Francesco carries the austere geometry of the English gentleman's boot with an unmistakably Continental edge. Every pair is finished in fire patina: a living surface created through the careful application of heat and pigment by a single artisan's hand, resulting in a depth of colour and character that no two pairs share exactly.
The construction is as deliberate as the aesthetic. A Goodyear-welted sole in deep oxblood — with a mixed leather and rubber base — ensures longevity worthy of a boot this considered. A brown calf leather lining adds warmth and structure from the inside out.
This is a boot for the man who understands that the finest details are rarely the loudest ones.
The Details:

Why this costs what it does
11 days, not 11 hours
Every patina pair is hand-painted and oxidized over 11 days. Six to nine layers of dye, each one soaking in overnight before the next. Skip this and the color sits on the surface — and rubs off in a season.
What's actually inside
Genuine cork filler, not foam — it molds to your foot over the first 50 wears. A stacked leather heel, not injection-molded plastic. Hand-welted construction that can be resoled four or five times instead of thrown out.
Built to last, not to sell once
Most factory shoes are cement-bonded and can't be repaired. Ours are built to be resoled and re-welted for years — the cost reflects a shoe you'll own once, not replace every season.
